Berkshire Sterile Manufacturing Gets a New Walking Conference Room

Berkshire Sterile Manufacturing, a small-scale sterile fill finish operation located in Lee, Massachusetts, has completed the transition of one of their conference rooms from the standard sit down, to one of activity. Their walking conference room allows BSM employees to stay more engaged during their calls with clients and interdepartmental meetings. This new, innovative conference room has eight iMoveR walking treadmills perfect for taking a stroll while getting work done. The conference room is equipped with a Smart TV and camera to allow for virtual attendees, as well as a dry-erase board wall for jotting down ideas and making charts for the virtual attendees.

Dr. Andrea Wagner, BSM cofounder and CTO said, “We are thrilled to have this new conference room at BSM. The health and well-being of our employees is very important to us, and we hope this innovative room will keep our employees engaged, not only physically, but mentally as well.”

BSM employees are encouraged to use the treadmills any time there is not a meeting in the conference room. The adjustable height desks make the room perfect for employees to stay healthy while still working. The conference room stays open for an hour and a half around lunch time for anyone who would like to get in some exercise. It is a more convenient option for movement than walking outside in the heat of summer or cold of winter. BSM will be opening a gym on-site later this year to give their employees even more opportunity to stay active and healthy.
