Berkshire Sterile has received a DEA license from the state of Mass and will be applying for the DEA license with the federal government. On February 3rd, 2016 BSM, the State of Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Drug Control Program and two agents from the US Department of Drug Enforcement met at BSM to discuss BSM obtaining a license to be a manufacturer of controlled substances. We were issued a license from the state and just received it last week. We will now apply with the US Department of Drug Enforcement to obtain a license on the federal level as well. BSM is putting in higher security levels to meet the license requirements and hopes to be inspected this spring by DEA federal.
“This will allow us to better serve our clients with these types of licenses and registrations. It was a pleasure hosting this visit and we look forward to our final inspection”, stated CEO Shawn Kinney.
BSM will also exhibit at the upcoming 2016 PDA Annual Meeting Achieving Manufacturing Excellence: Current Trends and Future Technologies in Bioprocessing. BSM will be at Booth 316, please stop by and let us show you how our innovations in sterile filling help give you the highest sterility assurance available. We also have some locally made Berkshire Treats for the first 50 visitors!
